EDUCATION PROGRAM

...

The journey of ChangeOneLife began in 2018, when Jess Theil embarked on a volunteer trip to Kenya as part of a project initiated by the Novo Nordisk Haemophilia Foundation. Moved by the realities faced by individuals living with haemophilia in the region, Jess made a heartfelt decision to sponsor the schooling of a single haemophilia child who was in desperate need of support. Little did he know that this simple act of generosity would sow the seeds for a transformative initiative aimed at empowering and uplifting the lives of many more.

The program underscores the importance of holistic support for individuals living with chronic health conditions. By addressing not only the medical needs but also the educational and socio-economic challenges faced by individuals with haemophilia, ChangeOneLife adopts a comprehensive approach to improving their quality of life and well-being.

Thanks to the unwavering dedication of Jess and his fellow sponsors, ChangeOneLife proudly supports the education of 20-35 young boys (the numbers varying from year to year) living with haemophilia A or B in Kenya. These boys, once faced with the daunting challenge of accessing quality education amidst the complexities of their health condition, are now thriving in primary, secondary, and even tertiary educational institutions.

Through the collective efforts of Jess, his sponsors, and the wider community, ChangeOneLife is breaking down barriers and opening doors to opportunity for these young boys. By providing access to education, the initiative not only empowers them to pursue their dreams and aspirations but also fosters a sense of hope and possibility for a brighter future. With each passing day, ChangeOneLife is making strides towards its mission of transforming lives and creating lasting change in the lives of individuals with haemophilia.
